The votes have been tallied, and the results are in. Dollywood’s Pigeon Forge water park, Splash Country, was recently named one of the best theme parks in America by TripAdvisor.
Known for it’s thrilling water slides, relaxing lazy river, exciting wave pool, and for being home to the only water roller coaster in Tennessee, we at HearthSide Cabin Rentals are not surprised to see the Pigeon Forge water park on this year’s list.
Other notable water parks included on this year’s top 10 list include Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon in Orlando, Water Country USA in Virginia, Noah’s Ark Water Park in Wisconsin and Cedar Point in Ohio.
How to Qualify
The theme parks included on this year’s list were all recipients of TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Award. To determine which businesses qualify for this award, TripAdvisor has an algorithm that scans all of the reviews and comments made by recent guests to the attraction over a 12-month period. The reviews and comments were scored based both on quality and quantity.
In addition to the Travelers’ Choice Award, TripAdvisor also surveyed a total of 1,500 U.S. travelers on what their favorite park activities and trends were to help determine which parks should be considered for this year’s top 10 list.
