At HearthSide Cabin Rentals, we would like to take a minute to ‘cheers’ two of our favorite Gatlinburg wineries that have partnered with local artists to help raise money for two incredible Smoky Mountain charities.
The Sugarland Cellars Gatlinburg winery and the Eagle Springs Winery in Sevierville are each releasing a seasonal version of their wines with a special label designed by a local artist. A portion of the sales from each of these two wines will be donated to two charities that are both dedicated to helping the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
If you want to pick up one of these commemorative wine bottles, you may want to act fast. There will only be 1,000 bottles of each made.
Autumn Path from Sugarland Cellars Gatlinburg Winery
Just in time for fall in the Smoky Mountains, Autumn Path From the Sugarland Cellars Gatlinburg winery showcases a Smoky Mountain bear surrounded by the beautiful fall colors in the Smoky Mountains.
The ninth label for the Gatlinburg winery to be designed by Robert A. Tino, Autumn Path is aimed to raise money for the Friends of the Smokies non-profit.
This charity focuses on the preservation of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Autumn Path will be released for public sale on September 27.

Cubby from Eagle Springs Winery in Sevierville
Aptly named, Cubby from Eagle Springs Winery in Sevierville is an Italian-style red wine that’s label features a playful Smoky Mountain black bear in a tree reaching toward a honey bee hive. The label was created by local artist, G. Webb.
Webb is known for his long-time dedication and support of the Appalachian Bear Rescue, a non-profit that works to aid and rehabilitate Smoky Mountain black bears. A relationship we are happy to see continued, a portion of the sales form this wine is going to ABR.
According to Eagle Springs Winery in Sevierville, their partnership with Robert A. Tino has already helped them raise $45,000 over the past eight years.
Eagle Springs Winery in Sevierville plans to release Cubby to the public on September 23.

Rocky Top Wine Trail
In addition to their dedication to support the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Smoky Mountain black bears, another thing that this Sevierville and Gatlinburg winery have in common is that they are both members of the Rocky Top Wine Trail.
The Rocky Top Wine Trail is one of the most unique ways to explore the heritage of the Smoky Mountains. Each of the five Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg wineries that are found on the trail use natural ingredients that are produced from local farmers in and around the East Tennessee area.
All of the wineries included on the Rocky Top Wine Trail include:

Friends of the Smokies
In its mission statement, the Friends of the Smokies charity is dedicated to preserving and protecting everything found within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This includes the natural wildlife, plants, hiking trails, and more. This organization is also responsible for providing volunteer workers for projects within the park that need help.
Appalachian Bear Rescue
Having been around since 1996, the Appalachian Bear Rescue is one of the only non-profits that is solely dedicated to the rehabilitation of the Smoky Mountain black bears. This organization steps in when the bear has come into close contact with humans, orphaned, injured, or just simply needs help.
The caring staff at this non-profit nurses the bear back to health before releasing it back into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
