A pretty unique shop in Pigeon Forge off the beaten path is the Smoky Mountain Cat House. This cute little shop is dedicated to all things cats, so if you’re a cat owner or lover, you definitely need to stop by! They have clothing, home decor, calendars, and all kinds of other cat knick knacks. You might even spot a real cat you can pet until you get home to yours!
The Mountain Mile General Store has a little bit of everything for everyone. You can get Great Smoky Mountain souvenirs, such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, magnets, and more. Want to grab a few home decor gifts for family and friends? You’ll find farmhouse decor, mountain decor, and so much more. There are mugs, hats, keychains, and pretty much any kind of souvenir you can think of at this general store at the Mountain Mile.
The vOgle Brothers General Store is a newer place where people can browse through all kinds of cool items. There are homemade candles in several different scents. You’ll find some of your favorite clothing brands, as well as Great Smoky Mountain themed apparel. There’s home decor and a ton of toys for the kids. Near the back of the store, there’s a pottery studio where you can watch potters make bowls, cups, and so much more. You can even taste some of the tea and snacks they have for sale, or try some candy from the counter in the back!
If you’ve wanted to visit shops in Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains off the beaten path, then you have to go to the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community. There are several local shops owned by craftsmen and artisans, and one of them is Dinwoodie Metal Sculptors. They make all kinds of cool art out of metal, and one of their specialties are metal fountains. They also have tabletop and wall decor.
Another shop off the beaten path in the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community is Wire Wonders. This shop makes handmade jewelry with polished stones and wire.
