With 8 restaurants, multiple shops and a variety of games already open for business, the Island in Pigeon Forge continues to grow. The latest addition to the restaurant roster at the attraction is a new Paula Deen venture, to be called Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen. The family-style restaurant is set to open in the summer of 2014, featuring traditional homemade southern favorites. For those who want a lighter meal, the restaurant will have healthy options available as well.
Known for a sour disposition and delicious food, Dick’s Last Resort is also said to invade Pigeon Forge this summer. From tall hats to an outrageous wait staff, Dick’s provides diners with entertainment and food for all. Another restaurant set to open at the Island in Pigeon Forge in the summer of 2014 is Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. The restaurant will feature the tastes and sounds of the islands in the family-friendly environment of the Smoky Mountains.
In addition to new restaurants opening at the Island in Pigeon Forge, new attractions and shops have been unveiled as well. The Island Mirror Maze is a new 3,000 square foot maze that families can get lost in for hours together. Filled with twists, bends and reflections, the maze includes 172 mirrors, so finding your way out is a fun-filled challenge.
Another recent store added to the attraction is Tervis. Selling a variety of insulated beverage containers, Tervis has a variety of patterns and themes for everyone from babies to the young-at-heart. The drinkware sold by Tervis is sure to keep your drinks warm or cold, no matter the weather. The Island in Pigeon Forge will also be hosting free movie nights on Thursdays from April 3 through May 15.
