Embrace your inner polar bear this winter and enjoy some cold weather fun. For those staying in a Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg cabin, we at Hearthside Cabin Rentals want you to enjoy your vacation as much as possible. If you don’t know how to embrace your inner polar bear, don’t worry. We’ll show you. Though we don’t have polar bears in the Smokies, we want you to enjoy the winter weather as much as they do, so we have four ways to enjoy winter and embrace the cold weather during your Smoky Mountains vacation.
1. Go Shopping
Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are lined with shops, vendors and stores of all types. There’s something for everyone to enjoy. Unique treasures and mouth-watering food are just around every corner. While shopping, take a ride on the Skylift, where you’ll be able to see all of Gatlinburg from above.
2. Play Outdoors
Don’t forget the Smoky Mountains National Park is still a great place to visit during winter. Some trails can be enjoyed during the colder months, but it is important to stay informed about current conditions in the area. You can catch a glimpse of the wildlife that live in and around the area by visiting an auto touring area, and you’ll not have heavy traffic in and around the park this time of year.
3. Attend Winter Events
Gatlinburg has a tons of winter events leading up to the holidays. Many attractions and dinner shows have holiday themed shows for families to enjoy leading up to the holidays. For guests staying at Hearthside, we have special deals on attractions around the area.
4. Enjoy Cabin Time
Having a Gatlinburg cabin winter special on your vacation to the Smokies means your family has a true home away from home. You can enjoy your family and the mountain views without interruption.
We at Hearthside think it’s important to always stay young at heart. When you’re ready to come in out of the cold, playing cards or board games will keep the kids occupied, and everyone will have fun doing it! Make s’mores indoors, or watch animals from inside your cozy cabin. Though black bears are seldom nearby, there are often squirrels, rabbits and deer frolicking around the area.
After completing these 4 steps, we hope you have found your inner polar bear and have enjoyed every minute of the winter fun there is to be had in East Tennessee. If you’re considering staying in the area, check out Hearthside’s Gatlinburg cabin winter specials before you book.
