| 8/16/2008 | What did you like best about your stay? The majestic beauty of the mountains and streams. Also finding graves of some ancestors. We thoroughly
enjoyed
our stay and look forward to another visit in the future. Eagles Wings
was clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable.
We enjoyed the view and the hot tub. The only negative for our
stay was the road up to the cabin. My husband (who has height issues
anyway)
was stressed by the switch back turns. They did not bother me but
it was enough of a problem for him that in future visits we will inquire
about roads before reserving a cabin, even if it means staying
at a
lower level. Let me say again, that in spite of this, we had a
wonderful time…and we are from Savannah,( 8 ft above sea level and flat)
after all! |

view was breathtaking. We really enjoyed the mountain views. Comments or Suggestions: Vicci and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at the cabin and had a wonderful, romantic time there. We will tell our friends and family about you and plan to rent again in the near future. |
| 4/2009 | SECLUDED AND QUIET -- My wife and I needed to get away for a while and
have some peace and quiet. Our number one concern was that there be no
highway
noise
or
loud
neighbors. The porch with its georgeous view of the mountains was like
heaven! All we could hear was the wind in the trees and the twitter of
birds. After the first day our blood pressure and heart rates dropped,
and we were on vacation.
You know how a vacation can turn into work? You can cross that line without realizing it, and suddenly this expensive attempt at fun turns into something that makes you grit your teeth and clench the steering wheel. NOT SO at Eagle's Wings! I look forward to returning. |
